The Kiwanis Club donated the original miniature trains for Cleveland and Mary H. Wright Parks in 1952. Sometime later, when the Cleveland Park train needed extensive repairs, it was sold, and replaced by the train from Mary H. Wright Park. In 1996 the train was taken out of service because of needed repairs. It has since been restored to its original working condition and in September of 2002 began operation in the newly renovated Cleveland Park. The train remains the cornerstone of the park, bringing delight to children of all ages, and making memories for a new generation.

The new Train Depot houses the ticket office for the train as well as restrooms, concessions, and a police sub-station. Parking is available in an adjacent lot.
