Risk Watch

Safety is the top priority of AYC. In order to help children identify risks in the environment SCPRC has teamed up with Sarah Dubose, a Child Injury Prevention Coordinator for Clemson Extension Program, in order to promote safety in the environment. Sarah Dubose generously provided many age appropriate workbooks, videos, games, and curriculum guides that focus on child safety issues. Throughout the fall and winter months AYC will teach a "Risk Watch" class once a month that highlights a safety prevention theme such as pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and bus safety. During Spring & Summer months AYC & Day Camps will teach water safety, fire safety, and poison control safety. These lessons are taught by utilizing fun & engaging activities throughout the year.
