We would like to thank all of you for helping us celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month in July! It was a huge success. We planned several events to help highlight the diversity of our facilites and programs we offer.
July 9 - Star Gazing at Woodruff Leisure Center 8-10pm
July 24 - Poetry in the Park at Cleveland Park 7-9pm
July 26 - Kayak Demo Day at Cleveland Park 9am-noon
July 29 - Nature Walk at Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park 10am
We also invited people to take advantage of our parks and facilities by designating several days as the following:
July 4 - Take Your Family on a Picnic Day; Visit any of our parks
July 10 - Arthur Ashe's Birthday, Honor this legend by playing tennis on our courts
July 15 - Read Al Fresco, Bring a book to one of our parks and enjoy a good read
July 31 - Bike in the Park Day
