Tyger River Race 2008

Kayaks and canoes of all colors dot the Tyger River each March or April in anticipation of the upstates only whitewater paddling event! The 7.5 mile course begins at Morris Bridge Road and ends at Big Tyger River Campground on Old Hills Bridge Road with a festival fit for outdoor enthusiasts.

Tame the Tyger River Race


This years Tame the Tyger provided participants with a wet but fun day. Around 70 people floated and raced down the Tyger River, braving threatening storm clouds and heavy rain.

Thanks to all the racers, floaters, and sponsors for making this a great day on the river.
