A variety of youth sports opportunities exists in Spartanburg County. SCPRC is involved with many of these programs by directly coordinating operations, supporting league commissioners, facilitating games and practices, maintaining ball fields and facilities, and certifying coaches and officials.

NAYS Coaches Training

The National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS) is America's leading advocate for positive and safe sports and activities for children.  NAYS offers programs and services for everyone involved in youth sports experiences, including professional administrators, volunteer administrators, volunteer coaches, officials, parents and young athletes. The goal of the National Alliance For Youth Sports is to make sports and activities safe and positive by providing programs and services that add value to youth sports.

Every volunteer that coaches in programs operated on SCPRC's facilities must have current certification through National Alliance for Youth Sports Association (NYSCA).

Located at North Spartanburg Park Races every Saturday and Tuesday Practices every Thursday.

youth sportsYouth Sports Associations organize and coordinate various youth sports leagues in Spartanburg County.  Spartanburg County Parks and Recreation Commission assists with many of the league operations, as well as provides and maintains the facilities in which they practice and play.  Read more for contact information.

Youth Soccer Organizations
soccer ballRecreational Youth Soccer in Spartanburg County is organized and operated by the American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO).  AYSO practices and plays games at Old Canaan Road Soccer Complex, USC Upstate youth soccer fields, and Woodruff Leisure Center soccer fields.  There are also several clubs offering youth soccer opportunities through out Spartanburg County.  Read More for further information...

Dixie Boys/Majors Baseball

Dixie Boys SCPRC oversees the operations of a Dixie Boys (13-14 yr) league and a Dixie Majors (15-18 yr) league in the spring.  The Dixie Boys play games at Berry Field and Dixie Majors plays games at Old Chapman High Baseball Field.  For more information please visit the following links.

Carolina Miracle League

"The Miracle League" is a charitable organization that provides children with mental and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. The Miracle League gives these children the opportunity to get out in the sunshine and enjoy playing the game of baseball in its purest form.  Miracle Park, home to the Carolina Miracle League is located at SCPRC's North Spartanburg Park.
